Himachal Pradesh Mausam: A yellow alert has been issued for strong winds with thunderstorms in different parts of Himachal. In which districts will the weather remain bad? Will it rain tomorrow as well? Read the latest update of the Meteorological Department to know…

Heavy rain is being seen in Himachal. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was seen in different parts of Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of strong winds with thunderstorms in different parts during the next 24 hours. IMD has predicted bad weather in different parts of Bilaspur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts. Rain can also be seen at some places. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain bad in different parts of Himachal Pradesh tomorrow as well.

At present, a total of 50 roads are closed in Himachal Pradesh. Not only this, 63 power supply schemes are disrupted due to rain and bad weather in the state. The State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) gave this information on Wednesday. During the last 24 hours, some parts of Himachal Pradesh and suburbs Jubbarhatti received moderate rain. Shimla received 46 mm of rain since Tuesday evening, followed by Mandi (38.6 mm), Kasauli (35 mm), Ghaghus (30 mm), Sarahan (26 mm), Kandaghat (24.4 mm) and Dharamsala (11.4 mm).

According to information shared by SEOC, in Himachal Pradesh, till Wednesday morning, 21 roads were closed in Shimla, 13 in Mandi, 10 in Kangra, five in Kullu and one in Sirmaur district. The local meteorological center has issued a ‘yellow’ alert for thunderstorms and lightning in different areas of various districts of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday. These districts include Bilaspur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur. Rain can also be seen at some places in these districts. The weather will remain bad in some districts of Himachal tomorrow as well.

It is worth noting that this year the rainfall in the state has been less. During the monsoon season from 1 June to 17 September in the state, there has been an 18 percent decrease in rainfall. Himachal Pradesh has received 569.3 mm of rain as against the average of 698.3 mm. According to officials, from the beginning of monsoon on 27 June till Monday evening, 172 people have died in rain-related incidents in the state. Currently 30 people are missing. This season, Himachal Pradesh has suffered a loss of Rs 1,327 crore in rain-related accidents.
