IND vs AUS: Australia has announced its playing eleven for the fifth and last Test match between India and Australia to be played in Sydney from Friday. After winning the fourth test match, the host team has made a major change in its playing eleven. Experienced all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who was continuously failing during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, has been shown the way out of the team.

In place of Marsh, Australia has given a chance to 31-year-old all-rounder Beau Webster. Webster will start his international career for Australia in Sydney. The Indian captain has not yet announced his playing eleven for the Sydney Test match.

Webster gets a chance in the team in place of Marsh

Before the start of the Sydney Test match, Australian team captain Pat Cummins said that Mitchell Marsh has not been very successful in terms of scoring runs and taking wickets during the series being played against India. He said that Marsh has not yet been able to perform as he wanted to in the current series. So now the time has come that we should think about this and start afresh.

He told that Webster has been given a chance in the team in place of Marsh. Webster has performed brilliantly in the past and deserves to be included in the team. He said that we know that Marsh has done a lot for the Australian team but now the time has come to move on.

Starc declared fit for the fifth test

Australia’s captain said that Mitchell Starc is completely fit and he will definitely play in the fifth and last Test match against India to be played in Sydney. Starc was suffering from back pain during the fourth Test match played in Melbourne but he has been declared fit for the fifth Test match.

With Starc’s presence, Australia’s fast bowling attack will remain as strong as before. Australia captain Cummins said that Starc was never out of our plans and he will provide strength to the team during the Test match.

Marsh could score only 73 runs

Marsh, who was dropped from Australia’s team for the fifth Test match, has been continuously struggling with his batting during the current series. During the last four Test matches, he has been able to score only 73 runs at an average of 10.43. During the Perth Test match, he played an inning of 42 runs but during other innings he proved to be a complete flop.

Along with this, he was also not able to impress with his bowling. He has bowled 33 overs during seven innings of four Test matches and during this he has been able to take only three wickets.

Webster impressed in domestic cricket

Mitchell Marsh was injured in the first Test match of the series played in Perth. After this, Australia gave a chance to Webster in the team as a precautionary measure. However, Marsh’s injury later turned out to be not very serious. Due to this, Marsh kept getting chances in the series but he could not succeed. Webster, who was included in the team in place of Marsh, will be the 469th player to play Test for Australia.

Despite winning the fourth Test match, Australia has not refrained from changing the winning combination. Australia gave Webster a chance to prove himself at the international level. Bewster has impressed a lot with his game in the domestic circuit and it is believed that this is why Australia has decided to try him.
