Ind vs Aus: Border Gavaskar Trophy will soon be played between India and Australia. But even before this, many questions are being raised on the performance of Team India. Actually, for some time now, KL Rahul has not been able to perform well and runs are not coming from his bat. In such a situation, Rahul had to sit out even in the Test series against New Zealand.
Team India will get a new opening pair
Recently a three-match Test series was played between India and New Zealand. In which India’s performance was very poor. Many big batsmen of Team India did not bat at all. The result of which was that India had to lose the series on its home ground. Now the Border-Gavaskar Trophy of five Test matches between India and Australia will be played from November 22.
In such a situation, it is expected that the first test match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played on 22nd November at Perth ground. For which the chances of regular captain Rohit Sharma playing in the first test match are very less. In such a situation, the team management can get excellent openers in the form of KL Rahul and Abhimanyu Easwaran to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first test.
However, KL Rahul’s performance in the last few seasons has not been anything special. Rahul did not even get a place in the playing eleven of the second and third Test against New Zealand. Sarfaraz Khan was given a chance in his place. But Rahul also performed well while opening on the England tour. He has great experience of facing the new ball abroad. On the other hand, Abhimanyu Easwaran has not yet made his Test debut for Team India, but his bat has performed well in domestic cricket.
