Rahul played a restraint shift

He hit 101 runs in just 118 balls, scoring an eighth brilliant century of his Test career. He was dismissed for 118 runs off 140 balls. Pant included 15 fours and 3 sixes in this innings. His batting has changed the direction of the match. This was the eighth century of his Test career. He has made it to the list of select batsmen who scored a century in the fourth innings.
India out of crisis
The 204 -run partnership for the fourth wicket between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant has brought India out of the crisis to control. The two batsmen performed brilliantly with each other. While Rahul kept playing carefully, Pant scored fast and carried the scoreboard forward. This partnership proved to be the most decisive turn of the Indian innings. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant’s century innings gave India a big lead and pushed England to the backfoot.
