Actually, the first Test between India and New Zealand will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Wednesday, October 16. A day before this match, New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears has been out of the team. Sears has been ruled out of the Test series against India due to injury. Let us tell you that the New Zealand Cricket Board has given this update regarding Ben Sears, in which it has been told that during the recent Test series in Sri Lanka, Sears felt pain in his left knee in practice. After which his scan was done in New Zealand last week. Due to which Ben’s departure to India was delayed. After the injury was detected in the scan, it was expected that Ben would recover soon, however, this did not happen and after medical advice, Ben has been dropped from the series.
Now Jacob Duffy has been included in the team as a replacement in place of Ben Sears. Jacob has played ODI and T20 International for New Zealand, but he has not made his Test debut yet. In such a situation, it is expected that Jacob Duffy can make his Test debut on the India tour. Now it will be interesting to see how this test series goes for Jacob. Jacob Duffy has played more than 100 first class matches.
