Team India players preparing to return to international cricket after the end of IPL 2022. The South Africa team came to India and a five-match T20 series will be played between the two teams from June 9. The first match is to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and both the teams are sweating. In the absence of star players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul has been given the command of the team.
At the same time, veteran wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has returned to the team after three years. Apart from this, Hardik Pandya was also included in the team. Team India started practice on Monday before the first T20. A video of this has been shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter. In this, the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid is interacting with the players along with batting coach Vikram Rathod and captain KL Rahul.

Young fast bowlers Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh are seen practicing bowling. So there Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda and Dinesh Karthik are seen practicing batting. Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is seen taking tips from coach Rahul Dravid. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, he will lead Team India’s pace attack. Apart from this, Avesh Khan and Harshal Patel are also in the team.
At the same time, Ishan Kishan can be seen giving catch practice to other players including Umran Malik. In the series against South Africa, Ishan was selected as a better batsman. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik have been selected as wicketkeepers in the team. Pant has also been made the vice-captain of the team.
Hardik Pandya, Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal were not present during the practice session. The first T20 match of the series will be held in Delhi on Thursday (June 9). After this the remaining matches will be played in Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot and Bangalore respectively. The fifth and final match of the series will take place on June 19 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, after which the team will tour Ireland and England.
