IND vs Eng Test Series: The five -match Test series is being played between India and England. In the first Test match, England defeated India to take a 1-0 lead. Now the second match of the series is to be played from July 2 at the Edgebaston ground in Birmingham. In this match, the Indian team can enter the field with major changes. Three players, including fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, can be excluded from the playing XI of the second Test.
Jasprit Bumrah will be out due to workload
Indian team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly in the first Test match and took the most five wickets in the first innings for India. He threw a total of 44 overs in the match, which is considered a very heavy workload for the fast bowler. Keeping in mind the fitness of Bumrah, the team management can make up its mind to relax in the second Test. This series is long, the Indian team has to play further matches, in such a situation, Bumrah can be given a chance to give young fast bowler Arshdeep.
Shardul Thakur did not perform impressive
All -rounder Shardul Thakur’s performance in the first Test was quite disappointing. He scored a total of 5 runs in both innings with the bat and took only two wickets in bowling. His performance neither showed confidence in batting, for which he is known, nor was the bowling edge. In his place, Team India can include another spin bowler in spin-friendly circumstances or a better batting option may get a chance to play.
Ravindra Jadeja’s form declines like
The performance of veteran all -rounder of the Indian team Ravindra Jadeja was also below the average in the first Test. He scored 11 runs in the first innings and 25 not out in the second innings, but did not show aggression or flexibility in his batting, which the team needed. He could take only one wicket in bowling. Ravindra Jadeja has been an integral part of the Test team for a long time, but if he does not return to form, the team management can replace him with a bowler like Akshar Patel, who has already performed brilliantly on domestic pitches.
