David Miller made a stormy half-century and an unbroken century partnership with skipper Hardik Pandya to take Gujarat Titans to the final by defeating Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) on Tuesday. Miller was a part of Rajasthan in the IPL last year. In such a situation, after the match, he said sorry to his old team on Twitter, then Rajasthan also gave a funny reaction to it.
Batting first, Rajasthan set a target of 188 runs. Chasing 189, Titans scored 191 for three with three balls to spare, thanks to an unbeaten 106-run fourth wicket stand between Miller (68 not out) and Pandya (40 not out). Miller hit five sixes and three fours in his 38-ball knock. 16 runs were needed in the last over to win. He led his team to victory by hitting the famous Krishna for three consecutive sixes. Pandya faced 27 balls and hit five fours.

Tweeting after the match, Miller said, “Sorry Royals Family.” Responding to this, Rajasthan shared a meme related to the popular TV serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was written on it, “Don’t be an enemy, a friend has done that work.” Let us tell you that Rajasthan team has yet another chance to reach the finals. The team will take on the winner of Eliminator-1 in Qualifier 2. The team that won that match will face Gujarat in the final.
After the match, Miller said, “I’ve been given a role, I feel supported from the start. I am enjoying my role, I have been playing for many years now. In situations of high pressure, you get carried away with your game plan, but I feel like I am trying to do everything according to the game plan.”
Miller also said, “There is a lot of planning going on against me to bowl outside the off-side. So I actually tried to come across and play for the first time. The rest I tried to hit as hard as I could. That’s the beauty of IPL, you play for different teams and meet different players.”
