IPL 2025 Flop Player: Some big names of IPL 2025 were expected to perform better. But despite the huge fees of crores of crores, his performance was disappointed. Come, let’s know about the four players of this season who proved to be a completely ‘flop’ in terms of their price and name performance. These are the players on whom the franchise had placed a bet of crores of rupees, but unfortunately he failed to spread his glow in this season.
Rishabh Pant (LSG – 27 crore)
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team bought Rishabh Pant with the biggest bid in IPL history with Rs 27 crore. He was handed over the captaincy. In such a situation, the team management was expected to take the team to new heights with explosive batting and clever captaincy from Rishabh Pant. But Rishabh Pant has been able to score only 151 runs in 13 matches. He could not speed up the team even under captaincy. Due to which the LSG was out of the playoff race.
Liam Livingstone (PBKS – 11.50 Crore)
Punjab Kings (PBKS) retained England all -rounder Liam Livingstone for a large amount of Rs 11.50 crore. The team expected the team batting and useful leg-spin. However, Livingstone’s performance faded with both bat and ball in the season. He was able to score only 87 runs in 7 matches. He was able to take only 2 wickets in bowling too. His all -round performance did not prove to be decisive for the team.
Venkatesh Iyer (KKR – 23.75 crore)
Venkatesh Iyer performed brilliantly for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2024. In such a situation, Venkatesh Iyer was retained by the team for Rs 23.75 crore. But in IPL 2025, Venkatesh Iyer’s magic did not work at all. He scored just 142 runs in seven innings at an average of 20.28. His strike rate (139.21) also remained far below his previous form. Due to that, KKR’s batting order was seen.
Mohammed Shami (SRH – 10 Crore)
In the last few IPL season, Mohammed Shami had troubled the batsmen with his fatal bowling. For that reason, he was included in his team by giving Rs 10 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). But this season, he did not see the edge and swing in his balls for which he is known. Mohammed Shami took only 6 wickets in nine matches. Due to poor form, he also had to sit out of the playing-XI in some matches.
