Bumrah has become the fastest Indian bowler to take 200 Test wickets in terms of balls. With this, Bumrah has achieved a feat which no one has been able to do till date in the history of 148 years of Test cricket. Bumrah is the first bowler in the world to take 200 or more wickets at an average of less than 20 in a Test match and his achievement is being considered very special.

During the fourth Test match, the Australian team had scored 474 runs in the first innings, in response to which the Indian team was all out for 369 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy’s century and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant 82 runs played a big role in taking India to this score. This 19-year-old batsman, who batted brilliantly in the first innings, looked helpless in front of Bumrah during the second innings. After this, Bumrah gave a big blow to Australia by dismissing Australia’s legendary batsman Travis Head, who was in top form.
Along with this, Bumrah also succeeded in creating a world record by taking 200 wickets in Test cricket. Travis Head could score only one run in the second innings whereas in the first innings he could not even open the account against Bumrah.

With the wicket of Head, Jasprit Bumrah has registered his name among the bowlers who have taken 200 wickets in Test cricket. Along with completing the double century of wickets, Bumrah has also achieved a special achievement which is being considered very important. No bowler in the whole world who has taken 200 or more wickets has taken two hundred wickets at an average of less than 20.
Jasprit Bumrah has become the first bowler in the world to show this amazing feat. West Indies fast bowler Malcolm Marshall has taken 376 wickets in Test cricket but his average has been 20.94.
Bumrah left Mohammed Shami behind
Of the first 6 wickets that fell during Australia’s second innings, Bumrah took four wickets. Bumrah has now become the fastest Indian bowler to take two hundred wickets in Test cricket and has left Mohammed Shami behind in this matter. Shami had achieved this feat with 9896 dirty throws whereas Bumrah had achieved this feat after 8484 dirty throws. However, Pakistan’s Waqar Younis, Australia’s Dale Steyn and South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada are ahead of Bumrah in this matter.
However, in terms of Test matches, Jasprit Bumrah is jointly second with Ravindra Jadeja in the list of fastest to take 200 wickets. He achieved this feat during his 44th Test match. In this matter, spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin is at number one. He achieved the feat of 200 wickets in 38 Test matches.
