Jhansi News: Railway Colony Warriors and Railway Division have won the matches in the 54th JDCA Dr. Vrindavan Lal Verma League cum Knockout Cricket Competition organized by Jhansi District Cricket Association.
The first match was between Railway Colony Warriors and Judicial XI under the presiding judge Vijay Verma and Chief Judicial Magistrate I.S. Played in the hospitality of Kanojia. Railway Colony Warriors won the toss and batted first and scored 197 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Nikhil Kote contributed 63 runs (7 fours, 2 sixes), Ashish Yadav contributed 59 runs (6 fours, 5 sixes), Shadav Khan 28 runs (4 fours, 1 six), Rinku 22 runs unbeaten and Vijay Mishra contributed 18 unbeaten runs.

On behalf of Judicial XI, Sagar Gupta took 2 wickets for 25 runs, Sahdev Yadav, Harsh Pandey and Kunal Goswami took one wicket each. The second match was played between Railway Division Jhansi and VMS Academy. Railway Division, batting first, scored 187 runs in 19 overs. Saksham Srivastava 68 runs (9 fours, 3 sixes), Harsh Thakur 53 runs (3 fours, 4 sixes), Karthik Kushwaha 17 runs, Abhishek Sharma contributed 12 runs.
On behalf of VNS Academy, Akil Khan took 29 runs for 3 runs, Satnam Singh took 3 wickets for 35 runs, Sanjay Kushwaha took two wickets and Rajesh Nayak and Rahul Jackson took one wicket each. VNS Academy, which set out to achieve the target of 188 runs for victory, could score only 168 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Akshdeep Patel batted brilliantly and scored 85 runs unbeaten with 10 fours and 1 six.
