Lucknow News: BBD players dominated the matches played on Saturday at the late Ranbahadur Singh Memorial District Badminton Championship 2025. The competition is being organized at BBD Badminton Academy Hall in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. In the under-17 single final of the girls category, Arnavi Pathak of BBD has defeated the title by defeating her own academy partner Shaina Mohan Chandra in a struggling match.
A tremendous match for three sets
In the final match played between Arnavi and Shaina, there was a tremendous match for three sets. The first game was won by Arnavi 21–14, while the second game Shaina won 18-21. In the decisive third set, Arnavi won a strong performance and won the under-17 girl’s single champion. At the same time, in the under-11 girls doubles category, BBD’s Abhisarika Singh and Riddhima Aggarwal’s M.J. The academy’s Janvi Arya and Kimaya Singh were defeated and captured the title. In this match, the two teams saw a great synergy, but eventually the BBD pair won on the basis of better combination and aggressive game.
Sanvi’s victory of Dalibagh Club
In the other matches of the late Ranbahadur Singh Memorial District Badminton Championship 2025, Sanvi Kumar of Dalibagh Club in the Under-11 Girls Singles category, M.J. Academy won the title by defeating Kimaya Singh 21-3, 21-6. The winner of this match Sanvi has performed like a future likely player. On the third day of the competition, the girls’ matches filled the audience with thrill. The talent, technical skills and mental firmness of the players in all classes clearly visible. The players of the BBD Academy performed brilliantly, taking advantage of their domestic court.
Championship prize distribution ceremony
The prize distribution ceremony of this prestigious championship will be held on June 29 at 3:00 pm. At this ceremony, Dr. Navneet Sehgal (former IAS) will be the chief guest of Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association and Vice President of Indian Badminton Association. He will be accompanied by Dr. Sudharma Singh, Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association and Advocate Alok Saran (Chief Conservator) as a special guest. On this occasion, District Badminton Association Secretary Anil Dhyani will also make an official announcement of Lucknow District Badminton Team, which will participate in the upcoming state level competitions.
