Lucknow News: Uttar Pradesh’s talented shuttler Mansi Singh made it to the main draw of women’s singles with a strong performance at the Syed Modi India International HSBC World Tour Super 300 Badminton Championship 2024. The qualifier matches of the USD 2,10,000 prize money championship organized by the Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association under the auspices of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) were played at the Yonex Sunrise Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy.

In the qualifiers, Mansi Singh defeated India’s own Pradhan Bonam 21-11, 22-24, 21-12 in a three-game match. Mansi Singh will now face fourth seed Pornpicha Choikkewong of Thailand in the first round of the women’s singles main draw. Expressing happiness after this victory, Mansi Singh said that I will try my best to perform my best on my home court.
After the end of the qualifier matches in the tournament, along with Mansi Singh, China’s Han Qian Xi, India’s Tanvi Sharma and India’s Navya Kanderi also reached the first round of the main draw in women’s singles. In men’s singles, India’s Siddharth Pratap Singh, Sanith Dayanand, RS Sanjeevi Kumar and Malaysia’s Sholeh Aidil also reached the main draw.
In women’s doubles, India’s Kavya Gupta and Radhika Sharma, Kanika Kanwal and Bharti Pal, China’s Keng Shu Liang and Wang Ting Jie and China’s Li Hua Zhou and Wang Ji Ming were successful in entering the main draw.
