The star player of Australia shared a video on her official Instagram on Wednesday and said goodbye to tennis with a heavy heart. Indian tennis star Sania Mirza also commented on his video and wished him well.
This decision is shocking because Ashleigh Barty was at the height of her career at this time. He created history by winning the Australian Open title in January this year. He has won three historic Grand Slams of his career in the last three years. First he won the French Open in 2019, then Wimbledon in 2021 and the Australian Open in the same year.
Barty informed about his retirement by sharing a video on his official Instagram account on the morning of 23 March. In this video she is having a conversation with her friend Casey. In this video, even tears could not stop giving information about his decision.
