Indian bowler Ravichandran Ashwin on Wednesday i.e. 16 March 2022 gave his opinion on the recent changes in Mankading law. He gave a special message to the bowlers as well as appealed to them to run out the batsmen standing at the non-striker’s end. Even that one move by a batsman standing at the non-striker’s end can make or break your career.
Ashwin said on his YouTube channel, ‘Law removes the blot on bowlers. In fact, they are saying run the batsman out. Many bowlers feel that our batsmen themselves can get upset (if they run out a non-striker). They also think about what the world will say about them. This fear compels them not to do so.
Ashwin further said, ‘I want to tell the bowlers again. A batsman who raises a leg (to get out of the crease early), can end or change your career. The batsman can hit a six on strike. If you take wickets (run outs) your career can go up.
Ravichandran Ashwin Said, ‘Otherwise you can be out of the team in the next match due to the batsman taking the strike for a six or a run. It’s that kind of effect. I request the bowlers not to think too much about it. I think he should use it in his favor.

There has been a lot of controversy about this rule in the past. Many bowlers including Ravichandran Ashwin got the batsmen out under Mankading. After that he also had to listen to criticism regarding sportsmanship.
Ravichandran Ashwin He had run out non-striker Jos Buttler in IPL 2019. After this, many cricket experts and fans accused him of going against the spirit of cricket. In IPL 2022, both Ashwin and Butler will play for the same team (Rajasthan Royals).
