Karachi, Australia captain Pat Cummins has said that his team is still unable to believe the death of legendary cricketer Shane Warne but the players have been empowered by sharing stories related to him. Cummins was speaking at a press conference ahead of the second Test against Pakistan (Australia vs Pakistan 2nd Test Match) starting on Saturday.
He said, “Nobody can believe it. We narrated many tales related to Warney. He was the hero of all of us and one of the most loved cricketers.” The Australian captain also said that leg-spinner Mitchell Sweepson’s Test debut will be special as he will try to follow in Warne’s footsteps.
“He is also a leg-spinner like Warney and will try to follow him,” he added. Warne’s body reached Australia on Thursday night. After his private funeral, a tribute meeting will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 30 March.(Agency)
