The Kanhaiya Lal murder case on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Udaipur, Rajasthan shook the whole country. Tailor (tailor) Kanhaiya Lal was killed when he was working in his shop. Then the accused Mohammad Ghaus and Riyaz, who entered the shop on the pretext of sewing clothes, attacked them with sharp weapons and slit their throats. The accused made a video of the incident. Later released the video saying that he has carried out this incident to avenge the insult to Islam.
There is anger across the country over this heart-wrenching incident. The perpetrators of the incident are being condemned on social media. These include cricket celebrities as well. Former Indian all-rounders Irfan Pathan, Venkatesh Prasad and Amit Mishra also reacted to the Kanhaiya Lal murder case.
Amit Mishra wrote, ‘What happened in Udaipur is an example of complete anarchy, where a poor tailor was beheaded for a social media post in the name of religion. Now what about his human rights? What about his family? What about his religion?’
Venkatesh Prasad wrote, ‘What happened in Udaipur is truly heart-wrenching. I appeal to all to maintain peace during this challenging time. Let the law take the strictest action. Irfan Pathan wrote, ‘It doesn’t matter what (religion) you believe in. To harm the life of an innocent is like hurting humanity.
