Pro kabaddi league: The UP Warrior’s team is ready for the 12th season of Pro Kabaddi League. The team unveiled its new jersey at a special event in Lucknow. This season the reins of the team are given in the hands of young and experienced players. Defender Sumit Sangwan is the captain of the team. While Ashu Singh has been made the vice-captain. Both these players are part of the team for the last 7 seasons.
Changing and giving new directions in leadership
GMR Sports CEO Satyam Trivedi said that our thinking has always been to maintain consistency and positive atmosphere in the team. We believe in giving opportunity to young talents and making the team visually. In this season too, we will carry forward our thinking.
Balance of experience and young enthusiasm
Talking about the structure of the team, head coach Jasvir Singh said that we have formed a team that has the best balance of experience and new talented players. He further said that the main focus of the team is to give young players a chance to play openly with confidence, in which senior players will give them guidance.
Will make this season memorable
Talking about his leadership, captain Sumit Sangwan said that it is an honor for me to lead UP Warriors in season 12. Our team is united and firm to make the season memorable with the support of fans. The first match of UP Yoddhaj in season 12 will be held on 30 August Saturday at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
Strong and future plan
UP warrior has retained 13 of its players for the season, making the team’s core strong. In addition, important players in the auction have been strengthened and empowered. This season Sumit Sangwan has been made captain and Ashu Singh has been made the vice-captain.
