Stairs Youth National Games 2025: The second edition of “Stares Youth National Games” and “Stares School Games” is being organized in New Delhi for the first time, which has included more than four thousand young players from twenty states. All these players are showing their talent on the national stage by winning gold or silver medals in more than 400 district-level competitions. Stars Foundation is a National Sports Promotion Organization recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Young players and well-known celebrities from India and abroad attended the grand opening ceremony held at Talkatora Stadium here.
Grand inauguration and honored guest
Pankaj Kumar Singh, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Transport, and Information Technology, was present as the chief guest at the event. New Zealand High Commissioner Excellency Patrick John Rata attended as a honored guest and reiterated his commitment to youth empowerment and sports development. Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police (Economic Offenses Branch) Vikram K. Ajit M. Sharan, Chairman of the Board of Advisory Board of Porwal and Steers Foundation and Ajit M. Sharan, Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, was also present on the occasion. Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth encouraged the players through his video message. Apart from these, Gandhi Smriti Vice President and former Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel, Bollywood actor Amit Sadh, former Ireland footballer David Ford, boxing star Gaurav Bidhuri, and India’s “push-up man” Rohtash Chaudhary encouraged the players and strengthened the spirit of ‘one India, a goal’.
EBEL Award 2025: Inspirational leadership honors
One of the main attractions of the event was the EBEL Award 2025 and the distribution of the Stere’s National Sports Excellence Awards 2025, in which individuals and organizations who brought changes in the fields of sports, education, leadership and social inclusion were honored.
EBEL Ratna Award: The President of the Indian Olympic Association and the Padma Shri Award winner PT Usha, Vijay Goel, Prime Minister of New Zealand, Honorable Christopher Luxon, and the founder of The Indian School of Natural Spiritual Sciences Shashi Dubey were honored for her extraordinary contribution in society and youth development.
EBEL Excellent Honor: Anandeshwar Pandey, executive director of the Handball Federation of India, for his contribution to the sports administration.
EBEL Excellent International Catalyst Award: David Ford has a global impact in young sports and mentorship.
EBEL Dronacharya Award: For moral coaching to Shishpal Rajput, Chairman of Gujarat State Yoga Board.
EBEL Sports Incentive Honors: Tahsin Zahid, CEO of Sports, Physical Education, Fitness and Laser Skills Council, and Tata Consumer Products initiative to promote the basic sports structure to KDHP company.
EBEL Youth Development Shiromani Award: For the contribution to education, mental health and leadership to the founder and editor -in -chief Yogesh Mishra, the founder and editor -in -chief of the , and Navneet Kumar Sehgal, President of Prasar Bharati.
The Steers National Sports Excellence Awards also honored teachers, coaches and volunteers who contributed to enhancing talent at the community level and changing life.
India’s game is a step towards future
Siddharth Upadhyay, founder and president of Staers Foundation, said, “Through the Sterers Youth National Games and Steers School Games, we are highlighting the capacity of the youth and making the champions from the ground level. Our platform is to recognize and promote talents at the district, state and national level. It works to our sportsperson in India’s game of India, which is involved in the journey of India. The sports event will run till 22 May 2025, with 4,000 medal winners will participate in 15 sports genres. It includes players from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, New Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. 200 coaches, 300 officers and 150 volunteers are dedicated to making the event a success.
