UIDAI has extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar card by 6 months. Earlier the last date for updating Aadhaar card was 14 December 2024 but now the last date for updating Aadhaar card is 14 June 2025. Earlier, citizens used to get a time limit of three months every time to update Aadhaar, but this time the government has increased this period to 6 months. UIDAI has shared this information in a post on Twitter.
Documents required to update Aadhar Card:
To update Aadhaar, two important documents are required. First identity card and second address proof document. For Aadhaar update, one had to pay Rs 50 at the Aadhaar centre, but according to UIDAI, the Aadhaar card can be updated for free till June 14, 2025. Is. Citizens can also give PAN card as identity proof and Voter card for address.
How to update Aadhaar Card:
To update Aadhaar card, first go to UIDAI website.
After this, you will get the option of update Aadhaar, click on it.
Now enter your Aadhaar number here and login through OTP.
After this you have to click on document update and then verify.
Now you can upload the scanned copy of identity card and address proof from the drop list below.
After scanning it, click on submit.
After this you will get a request number and then the form will be submitted.
You can also check the status of the update through this request number. Then after a few days your Aadhaar will be updated.
