Actually, the free service of updating Aadhaar online is available only on the UIDAI portal. To update Aadhaar card for free, first you have to visit the official website of UIDAI, uidai.gov.in.
Now you have to select your language here. After this, as per your convenience, you can choose any language shown here other than English.
After this, you will have to click on whatever information you want to update. For example, if you want to update the address, then you have to select the option of Aadhaar update.
As soon as you select it, you will have to log in by going to My Aadhaar on the next screen. For which you will have to enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code.
Now after this, OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number for verification, after filling which, login can be done.
As soon as you log in, a new window will open, where at the top you will get the option of document update.
Now you have to go to document update and verify your demographic details like name, date of birth, address.
After all the details are verified, the identity and address proof document of less than 2 MB size in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format has to be uploaded.
Any of the listed documents including PAN card, voter card, passport, driving license can be uploaded as proof.
Now after uploading all the details and documents here, you will have to click on the submit button.
Then a 14 digit update request number will come on the registered mobile number. Aadhaar update request can be tracked through this number.
In such a situation, when the Aadhaar card is updated, a mail or message will come from UIDAI.
Keep in mind that once Aadhaar is updated, it can be downloaded by visiting the UIDAI site.
