Haapur News: The controversy over the non -recognized LLB course at Ramswaroop Memorial University in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh now reached Hapur. When the students were protesting in Barabanki, the police lathi -charged them, causing a wave of anger to the entire student community. In protest against the incident, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists came out on the road in Hapur on Friday evening with a torch in their hands and performed strongly.
Torch travel and slogans
In the torch journey taken from Tehsil intersection to the municipality, the students raised slogans like “not insulting education”. He blamed the police administration and the university administration. The students said that the lathicharge made on innocent students in Barabanki not only threatens their future, but also insulted democratic values.
ABVP warns
District convenor Akash Sharma said that an attempt was made to suppress the voice of the students in Barabanki. This is an attack on student interest and democratic traditions. If action is not taken against the guilty policemen, the ABVP will launch a fierce agitation from the road to the House. The ABVP demanded a high -level inquiry, saying that immediate strict action should be taken against the guilty police officers and the university administration.
Presence of students in large numbers
A large number of students and workers were involved in the torch journey. Prominent activists included Sagar Kaushik, Akash Sharma, Tushar Bhardwaj, Anjali Mishra, Aman Thakur and Anuj Verma. During the protest, all the street-intersections resonated against the anti-student policies.
Students’s question, when will justice be given?
The protesting students said that playing in the name of education would not be tolerated. He questioned that when a university is running a course without recognition, where is the fault of the students? Police lathicharge on them is completely injustice.
