Airtel launches iptv service: Airtel today announced the launch of its IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services in India. As a part of the launch, the company is starting its IPTV services in 2,000 cities in India. 600 popular TV channels and WiFi service are going to be available including Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Price, Sony Live and G5.

As far as the features are concerned, Airtel says that with its IPTV service, users will get access to a wide library of about 29 streaming apps including Netflix, Apple TV Plus, Amazon Prime Video, Soneline and Zee5. Users will also get access to about 600 television channels. As a part of the offer, Airtel is providing free service of up to 30 days to the customers on the purchase of the IPTV plan. Talking about availability, Airtel has not given details information about all the cities where he is starting its IPTV services. However, the company has confirmed that this service is being introduced all over India except Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam and North Eastern states. Airtel says that it hopes that in a few weeks it will start its IPTV services in these areas.

Airtel says that new customers can get service by purchasing the company’s Wi-Fi plan from Airtel’s official website or its official store across the country. Current Airtel Wi-Fi customers can upgrade their plan to reach the new launched IPTV service. Airtel has become the second telecom operator to provide its IPTV services after BSNL in India. Its rates start at Rs 130 per month.
