Chandauli News: The Chandauli police have arrested two accused in two separate cases of cow-smuggling and cow slaughter. These arrests have been done under the campaign being run on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe. One of the arrested accused was registered with an old case of cow slaughter, while the other was recently caught while smuggling. The police have initiated legal action against both the accused.
Warranty accused arrested
Police station Balua has arrested an old warranty named Omprakash alias Pappu. The arrest has been made under the non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued from the Civil Judge’s court. Omprakash was booked in 2017 under the cow-slaughter Prevention Act and Animal Cruelty Act. The police arrested him from Panditpur village. In this action, Inspector Ashish Kumar Mishra in charge of police station Balua and his team were involved.
Caught the desired cow-smuggling
At the same time, the police station Sakaldiha police has arrested a wanted accused of cow-smuggling Harendra Rai. Harendra was recently registered a case of cow-smuggling. He was taking two cows in his vehicle brutally and taking him to Bihar, when the police caught him from the Bhojapur country liquor contract. During that time, his two companions Joginder Rai and Mahender Rai were caught, but Harendra escaped. The police arrested him near the Khadehra Petrol Pump at around 10.30 am on August 28. The arrest was carried out under the leadership of Police Station Atul Kumar.
Police said that both the arrested accused were involved in crimes like cow-smuggling and cow-slaughter for their economic benefit. The police are continuously campaigning to prevent such crimes.
