Chandauli News: The Chandauli police, while achieving a major success, seized illegal liquor worth about 8 lakh rupees being taken to another state by train. The police have also arrested a liquor smuggler in this action. This action was taken by a joint team of Syedaraja Police and Railway Protection Force (RPF). The total amount of liquor seized is 1,140 liters, including indigenous and English liquor as well as beer. Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe had directed to campaign against illegal liquor, under which this success has been achieved.
How was the smuggler caught?
The police had received information about smuggling of illegal liquor near Naubatpur railway culvert. As soon as this information was received, a team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Vindeshwar Prasad Pandey. The team also included sub-inspector Santosh Kumar Yadav and RPF sub-inspector Indra Kumar.
At around 4:15 am on 30 August 2025, when the police team was investigating near Naubatpur Pulia, he was caught red -handed. This smuggler Ranjit Kumar Yadav, who hails from Aurangabad district of Bihar, was smuggling illegal liquor by train. The smuggler tried to remove the liquor by pulling the chain in the train near the culvert, but the police caught him on the spot.
Details of seized liquor
Police seized a total of 1,140 liters of illicit liquor filled in 121 boxes from the spot. Seized alcohol is involved:
100 boxes blue lime desi wine
4 boxes of royal stag English wine
17 boxes Heavyders 5000 Bold Strong Beer
The total cost of this recovered liquor is said to be around 8 lakh rupees. The police have also seized a mobile phone from the smuggler.
Further legal action
After arrest and recovery, a case has been registered against Ranjit Kumar Yadav at Syedraja police station under Section 60/63 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police is taking further legal action in this case. This successful campaign sends a message that the Chandauli police is fully ready to prevent illegal liquor smuggling. Such campaigns will continue under the instructions of the Superintendent of Police.
The police team consisted of several policemen and RPF personnel of Syedaraja police station, who together stopped the smuggling and achieved a great success.
