Meerut News: To facilitate the journey of ‘Namo Bharat’ passengers, NCRTC has launched an attractive feature in the Namo Bharat app. Giving detailed information about this, NCRTC chief spokesperson Puneet Vats said that with this feature, travelers can plan their entire journey in Namo India and Metro Network using the same digital platform, can choose the easiest and comfortable travel route options and can complete the booking with spontaneous payment. This is a strong step for passengers to ensure integrated and convenient journey.
Namo Bharat app planned and travel plan
With this feature, passengers can plan their end to and travel on Namo Bharat app itself. This feature suggests a smart route for travel between one station to another. Passengers can get information about the fastest and most efficient route from this, as well as approximate travel time and suggested interchange. This includes trips to Namo India, Metro and First and Last Mile.
Another thing that makes this feature special is the facility to book tickets for both Namo India and Metro simultaneously on the same platform. With this, passengers will not have to face inconvenience to book different tickets for both mediums by going to two different apps. They can make single and safe payments through UPI, Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking, seeing the estimated fare of the entire journey on the Namo Bharat app itself.
To use it, passengers have to go to the Journey Planner section of Namo Bharat App and choose their start station and destination station. On doing so, the app will start showing the integrated route with Namo India and Metro connections, which passengers can also see interactive maps to understand more clearly. Subsequently, passengers can confirm their journey by choosing their convenience and path of choice from the options shown.
After this, it will take you to the payment window, where it will generate the QR-based e-ticket as soon as they pay. For example, if you want to travel from Ghaziabad to Noida Sector 16, write Ghaziabad in the beginning station and Noida Sector 16 in the destination. Along with this, the route map of the journey from Ghaziabad to New Ashok Nagar from Ghaziabad to New Ashok Nagar and from there will be displayed by the Metro Blue Line to Noida Sector 16.
It will take the payment to the window as soon as it is selected, where it will generate two separate QR based digital tickets for Namo India and the metro as soon as they are paid. Passengers can also book autos or cabs for themselves by choosing an option like Rapido in Namo Bharat app to reach their destination station.
In this way, from the choice of the root to the payment of tickets and the real-time updates of the tickets and the arrival of the train, passengers can travel stress-free through this feature. It ends the need for different booking, reduces waiting time and ensures better travel experience for passengers with smart root suggestions.
