Through the new feature, you will be able to add 512 people to WhatsApp groups. However, at present this feature has been released only for select people and is not available to everyone. Along with this, another feature will be associated with media files, which will allow users to send files up to 2 GB.
512 people in a group
WABetainfo has revealed the new feature with screenshots in one of its reports. As you can see in this screenshot, it is possible to add 512 users to a WhatsApp group. This feature was being demanded for a long time. Currently, this feature has been seen on the iOS platform, and will soon be released for Android beta users as well. Currently, you can only add 256 people to a group.

Can send files up to 2GB
Sending large files through WhatsApp will also become easier. The company said in one of its blog posts, ‘You will now be able to send up to 2GB of files at a time in WhatsApp, which will be protected by end-to-end encryption. We think this will be helpful for small businesses and school groups.”

The messaging app said it will also show a counter while uploading or downloading to let you know how long your transfer will take. Let us tell you that at present you can only send media files of maximum 100MB through WhatsApp.
