Now making online payment has become easier. You will be surprised to know that now you do not even need to open the payment app to make payment. You just have to touch it with the phone machine and the payment will be done in a pinch. Similar facility is also being provided by Google Pay. Yes, Google Pay in association with Pine Labs has announced a new feature that will allow you to use Tap to Pay for UPI as well. Till now, the tap to pay feature was available only for cards. The new functionality will now be available to any UPI user who wishes to use their Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled Android smartphone to transact using any Pine Labs Android POS terminal across the country. This facility was introduced with Reliance Retail and will now be available at Future Retail, Starbucks and other merchants.
To help users better understand the new feature, Google has also launched a support page. If you want to use the Tap to Pay feature for UPI payments, you need to make sure that your Android smartphone has NFC technology. Follow the steps below to check…

Once you have enabled NFC on your smartphone, you can use the newly launched feature on Google Pay.
1. unlock your phone
2. Tap your phone on the payment terminal (currently this feature will only work on Pine Lab terminals).
