Lava’s d2m feature phones: Lava International has announced that it will launch the upcoming Waves (World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit) at the 2025 event in the 2025 event. D2M phones use terrestrial TV broadcasting airways to give live TV, OTT video, audio and text messages without the need for internet or Wi-Fi. HMD has also announced that it will soon launch D2M technology -operated phones in India.
Lava’s D2M feature phone soon launched
The feature phones operated by the upcoming D2M technology of Lava will support the government’s Make in India initiative. The upcoming feature phone has been developed by engineers of the company’s in-house research and development team and Tejas Network. Lava has not shared the specification of its upcoming feature phones, but has confirmed that they will run on MediaTek MT6261 chipset that come with SL3000 software-defined receiver chip by Sankhya Labs.

In addition, Lava has also confirmed that its upcoming feature phone will have a 2.8 -inch QVGA display and UHF (Ultra High Frequency) antenna will be facilitated to enable GSM connectivity and TV reception to make calls. The D2M feature phone will also have a 2,200mAh battery. Lava says that the software used in its upcoming D2M technology feature phones will be the SDK (software development kit) of Sankhya Labs, which will help provide entertainment. As far as price and availability are concerned, Lava has not yet disclosed these details. The company will announce these details in Waves 2025, which will be held between May 1 and May 4 at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai.
