LCD and LED display: LCD (liquid crystal display) and LED (Light Emiting Diode) display are two major display techniques used in today’s time. The LED display is the technological advancement of the LCD display. LED displays are LED backlight LCD displays to power the LCD panel. This means that the Monitor is installed behind or near the LCD panel to increase the brightness and video defense of the screen. Cold cathode lights are used as backlight in LCD display. The main difference between LCD and LED display is just backlight, but it also provides many improvements in LED displays.
Contrast
Contrast and black level of LED screen is better than LCD screen as liquid crystal can not stop 100% backlight from cold cathode backlight and therefore when black screen is shown on the monitor, it is not completely black. But the LED screen completely shows the black screen due to lack of backlight at all.
Color accuracy
Direct and Edge LED displays and color accuracy for LCD displays are almost the same, but the color acuracy in RGB LED display is much better. The monitor has three different types of LED monitors available in the monitor. These are – Direct LED, Edge LED and RGB LED. Both edge and direct LED display monitor use white diode which is used to give better picture quality to LCD panels.
Vying angle
If the display is wide than thirty degrees wide than the appearance of the appearance, then the contrast ratio of the image in LCD decreases. This affects the eyes, while in LED this loss is overcome. The angle of viewing in the LED is wide, which means that even the image is clearly visible even when viewed from the side.
Power
Local dimming LED display consumes more power consumption than LCD. Therefore, it would be prudent and economical to compromise with electricity bill or good quality picture. If LED is an edge light, it will consume less power than LCD with similar dimensions. Both LCD and LED displays do not cause screen burn-in problems, so they are considered suitable for prolonged use of screen.
