Jio-starlink partnership: A big step has been taken towards giving a new height to digital connectivity in India. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Alan Musk’s satellite -based internet service Starlink has now joined hands with Reliance Jio to establish its roots in India. Earlier, Starlink also signed the deal with Airtel. Through this partnership, there are plans to make internet services in India faster and easy.
How will Starlink work in India?
Starlinks are operated through Internet Services Low Earth Orbit (Leo) satellites. Data is transmitted with the help of these satellites, which provides high-speed internet service. The special thing is that there is no need to install towers for Starlink, due to which the Internet can be easily transported in remote areas.
What will be the benefit of customers?
After partnering with Starlink, Airtel and Jio, it is working towards intensifying internet services in India. Its biggest benefit will be available to consumers who are still struggling with slow or unstable internet.
High-speed internet: With the help of Starlink, internet speeds from 100 Mbps to 1 GBPS can also be available in far-flung areas.
Better connectivity: Internet service will not be interrupted in any season or area due to satellite connection.
Urban and rural India benefits: Starlink will be beneficial especially in areas where the fiber optic broadband has not yet reached.
Simple setup: Starlink service will only require a Starlink terminal, which will receive signals from satellites and provide high-speed internet.
When will India be launched?
Although Starlink has partnered with Jio and Airtel, it is still awaiting government approval to start services in India. As soon as all the necessary licenses and approvals are received, the official start of Starlink Service will be started in India.
