Reliance jio sim delivery plan: Reliance Jio has allegedly stopped a plan to introduce a new service, which will enable people in India to provide SIM card delivery at their homes. Let me tell you that earlier the Airtel company did this, and now Reliance Jio has also taken back its steps. Let us know the reason behind this.

Jio stopped express delivery sim card service

According to a report by The Economic Times, Jio shared a letter with DOT Secretary Neeraj Mittal on 16 April, in which the Department of Telecommunications informed the department about its plan to introduce SIM cards to provide SIM cards to provide SIM card service. The company allegedly planned to launch the service on 25 April. Reliance Jio has stopped its plans after the Department of Telecommunications has blocked Bharti Enterprises after blocking a similar initiative of Airtel.

Learn other details

Airtel announced a partnership with a blinkit last month, under which SIM cards will be delivered to buyers within 10 minutes at a minor fee of Rs 49. Under this service, buyers will have to do self-KYC to certify their identity to activate their SIM card and prepaid or postpaid connection. The service was launched in 16 cities across the country on 16 April. The initiative was stopped on 30 April, as the Department of Telecommunications objected to the idea of self-KYC by customers after receiving the SIM card. This was done in view of national security. Also, DOT asked all telecom companies in the country to ensure that the Aadhaar-based KYC certification should be done before issuing the SIM card to the customer.
