Jio Fiber News: Reliance Jio’s Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber services have connected more than 8 lakh homes with high-speed broadband (Wi-Fi) in the Uttar Pradesh West service area, which includes Uttarakhand. Customers are now also connected to world-class entertainment through fiber services.
According to the recent data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), 8 lakh 25 thousand homes in Uttar Pradesh West service area are connected to Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber. Reliance Jio has become the first telecom operator in Uttar Pradesh West service area to achieve this feat, achieving 69% market share of total wireline subscribers.
According to this TRAI report, Reliance Jio remains the number 1 operator in terms of total number of subscribers and revenue in the Uttar Pradesh West service area. Reliance Jio remains the largest operator in the service sector with over 2.38 crore wireless subscribers.
Jio Fiber’s huge demand and rapid growth has been driven by its triple play combination of ultra-high speed internet (Wi-Fi) ranging from 30 Mbps to 1 Gbps, smartphone fixed line with unlimited local and STD calling. Services and various plans – Up to 15 most popular OTT apps like Netflix-Basic, Amazon Prime Lite, Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Jio Cinema Premium and SonyLIV under categories Access included.
Recently launched Jio Air Fiber, India’s latest home Wi-Fi and entertainment service has also been embraced by consumers in Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Jio Air Fiber has resolved the challenges of complexities and connectivity delays often encountered in delivering optical fiber to homes. Due to which the digital infrastructure of the area has been strengthened.
Starting at Rs 599 per month, various plans of Jio Air Fiber offer unlimited data (up to 1000GB) at speeds ranging from 30Mbps to 1Gbps. Under these plans, customers get subscription to over 800 digital channels and more than 15 apps. Customers can now book for this service from their nearest retail outlet. More than 20,000 Jio Premium retail outlets and Jio Stores are providing support for booking this service.

Jio TV Plus, which was till now available only through Jio set top boxes, will now be available for free download on all major smart TV operating systems. Jio TV Plus app does not require any set top box or additional connection to access content.
