Changing with aadhaar card: Indian Unique Identification Authority is going to make the biggest change in Aadhaar card so far! A new QR code-based app will soon allow users to share their base digitally, which will eliminate the requirement of photocopy. By November 2025, information like address or name will be easy to update, in which most changes can be made at home. The purpose of this change is to make life easier for 1.4 billion base holders of India and also reduce fraud.
What will happen in Aadhaar card
The biggest change in Aadhaar card is a change in digital-first system. Instead of keeping photocopy, you will use a new app to share your base through safe QR code. You can choose masked edition for personal. This app, which is already active in 2,000 of UIDAI’s 100,000 machines, will make Aadhaar safe for daily tasks such as hotel check-in or train travel. “You will control your data, shared it only with consent,” says Bhuvanesh Kumar, CEO of UIDAI. This system also helps prevent misuse, such as the use of fake Aadhaar card in the property deal. It is also becoming easier to update. By November, you will not need to visit the base centers for most changes – only you have to go to the biometric update (fingerprint or iris scan) individually. Details such as address, phone number, name or date of birth can be updated online using data from official records like birth certificate, passport, PAN card or MNREGA database.
How will it help you?
This change in Aadhaar card has made life easier and fraud can be avoided. The QR code system ensures secure sharing, which reduces the risk of misuse of Aadhaar in property or identity probes. For children, UIDAI is working closely with CBSE to update biometrics at the age of 5-7 and 15–17, in which a campaign is being launched to settle 18 crore pending cases. Security agencies and hotels can also adopt it for safe verification. With the biggest change in the Aadhaar card, you will save time, will be safe and update the details in a hassle -free manner sitting at home.
