Aligarh news: In the village Rampur, Ward No. 11 of Jawan Sikanderpur Nagar Panchayat of Aligarh district, the transformer running bad for several months was being repaired repeatedly. But three days ago, the transformer was completely blown, causing smoke coming out of it. The power supply of the village has come to a complete standstill due to the transformer MER failure, due to which the villagers are also facing a huge water problem.
The villagers complained about this problem several times, but so far no solution was found. Already people were upset due to rain, now the scarcity of electricity and water has made the situation even more serious. The villagers allege that JE Lalit Kushwaha posted at Sumera power house ignore the problems of the villagers. They neither pick up someone’s phone nor are the power present at home. When some villagers reached the power house with their problems, JE Lalit was not present on the spot till 11:00 am.
According to the information received, JE Lalit Kushwaha usually does not listen to the complaints of the villagers. When the matter was taken to the SDO by the villagers, the SDO Saheb immediately took cognizance and generated the PR number for the new transformer, issued instructions to the concerned workshop JE, SDO Saheb fully supported the villagers despite the busy time. They pick up every person’s phone and also solve problems. He immediately instructed to change the transformer.
But the villagers say that they waited for 24 hours, yet the new transformer did not reach. Subsequently, women, men, elderly and children were forced to protest peacefully amid the rain. The villagers have warned that if there is no solution soon, they can also jam the road. Due to lack of power, diseases are spreading due to mosquitoes. Many villagers have fallen ill and are unable to sleep properly at night. Children’s education is also being affected by this problem. The villagers have appealed to the regional public representatives, electricity department and the Chief Minister to resolve soon.
