Up news: After the Rural Tourism Conclave-2025 organized by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, a special familyization trip was organized on Friday, in which tourist and industry experts from different parts felt the true heritage and traditions of the villages of Uttar Pradesh closely. The main objective of this journey was to make the participants aware of the real fragrance of the villages, the lifestyle and culture there.
During the family trip, tourists got a chance to walk on the footpaths of the fields, taste traditional cuisine and experience folk art and culture. He also saw and appreciated the functioning of self -help groups present in rural areas. The yatra included a visit to Kathwara village located in Lucknow’s Bakshi Pond and Grow Farm Stay of Barabanki, where the magic of rural hospitality was seen.
This journey was not only a journey, but it also became a strong example of connecting the policies and ground experiences of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. More than 40 farm stays and home stay operators of the state participated in this trip. Guests from different parts of the state described this journey as a precious experience.
Necessary participation for the development of rural tourism
During the journey, the owner of Colonel Sahai Ikigai Farm Stay said that the greatest strength of rural tourism is in the participation of the local community. Unless the villagers will actively involve it, this model cannot succeed. At the same time, Padma Shri respected farmer Ram Saran Verma highlighted topics like multi-layer farming, banana tissue farming and crop diversification, which not only increase the income of farmers, but also create new opportunities for rural tourism.
Steps towards giving rural tourism a global identity
Tourism and Culture Minister Jayveer Singh said on the occasion that villages are not just geographical places, but it is the lively heritage and real identity of India. In the coming time, the village will prove to be the biggest attraction of tourism and the soft power of India. Special Secretary Tourism Isha Priya said that today’s tourism is not limited only to sightseeing, but it has become a medium of searching for the soul. Every house, whether it is pottery or pickle, has the ability to become a tourism unit.
