What is E Sanad Portal: A special kind of digital service is available to relieve you of the hassle of completing all the paperwork before traveling abroad. The portal named ‘e-Sanad’ is an initiative launched by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with two other ministries for the digitization of certificates. With the help of e-Sanad, paper work is reduced and the need for physical visits is eliminated. This increases user reach across India. This initiative was launched seven years ago on May 24, 2017 in conjunction with ‘Parinaam Manjusha’. External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar jointly launched ‘e-Sanad’ along with ‘Parinaam Manjusha’ on May 24, 2017. On this occasion, welcoming this initiative, Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar had said that the government wants to take India towards digitalization very fast, hence this initiative will prove to be a milestone in this direction.
What is e-sanad program
‘e-Sanad’ is an online service launched by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with two other ministries for digitization of certificates. The objective of launching ‘e-Sanad’ is to provide an online document verification, apostille service to Indian applicants in India as well as abroad who have obtained documents from Document Issuing Authorities (DIAs) in India. A digital service for verification of documents and certificates for Indian citizens and foreigners in a contactless, faceless, cashless and paperless manner.

Result Majusha is a digital educational repository launched by CBSE in 2016. Through this program, applicants can also file applications online. Which allows students to get their marksheets, passes and migration certificates in digital form and facilitates their online verification by employers and educational institutions. Integration of ‘e-Sanad’ with ‘Parinaam Manjusha’ helps applicants save time and valuable money in traveling abroad to get the documents verified at the relevant authorities in different states.

‘E-Sanad’ portal provides the facility of online ‘School Leaving Certificate’ or Migration Certificate with the help of ‘Central Board of Secondary Education’ (CBSE). Apart from this, documents related to central universities can also be obtained online through this portal. A portal named ‘Parinaam Manjusha’ has already been launched for obtaining documents related to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) like marksheet and migration i.e. transfer certificate etc. ‘Parinaam Manjusha’ has been linked with ‘e-Sanad’ to promote digitalization of certificates in the country. For the implementation of ‘e-Sanad’ portal in the states, it is being conducted as a pilot project. ‘E-Sanad’ portal was launched to eliminate middlemen in various institutions.

Therefore, the government has launched this service basically to digitize the process of document verification for people going abroad, so that they do not have to bother about visiting government offices for the same.
Get old certificates by paying Rs 100
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Chairman R.K. According to Chaturvedi, if any student wants to get any latest certificate through ‘e-Sanad’ then they will not have to pay any fee for it. But if any student wants to get the old certificate then they will have to pay Rs 100. He said that ‘e-Sanad’ is also proving to be very useful for the employees, because through it the documents of the employees are being verified online in a convenient manner.
