Whatsapp Advanced Chat Privacy: Whatsapp has announced a new privacy feature called ‘Advanced Chat Prosecies’ for its platform. The purpose of this new feature is to stop users from sharing sensitive information outside private or group chats. It was first seen during development earlier this month. Now, after less than a month, WhatsApp has started rolling out this privacy feature for all its users globally.
WhatsApp Advanced Chat Privacy feature
WhatsApp’s newly declared advanced chat privacy feature prevents users from having personal conversations outside their platforms. When the advanced chat privacy settings are on, it prevents users to export conversations in chat and download media files on their smartphone automatically. This feature also prevents users from using messages for AI features. Simply put, the advance chat privacy facility will prevent users from using Meta AI to ask questions or to make pictures. This does not prevent users from using other means such as taking a screenshot of a message or manually downloading the media file. It does not prevent users from forwarding the message on any other chat to access it later. The company noted that this is the first edition of its advance chat privacy feature and is planning to add more security to this feature in future. This feature was first seen by WABETAINFO earlier this month. At that time, Tipster suggested that this feature would prevent users from exporting chat history, automatically saving media files and reaching Meta AI in chat.
