Whatsapp new feature: WhatsApp offers many security features to users. This list includes not only features such as two factor connections, which make it difficult for fraudsters to get access to an account, but also include disappearing messages, disabling and blocking messages from unknown accounts when exceeding a certain amount. Now, a new report suggests to introduce more security features, which are likely to introduce WhatsApp in the future.
Whatsapp media file will not be saved
According to a report by WABETAINFO, Whatsapp is working on a feature called Advanced Chat Protection. When on, this feature will prevent the receiver from saving a media file like an image or video on your device automatically. This feature will also prevent users from exporting chat history, including messages from users who activate advanced chat protection, which will in turn provide more control over users on their interactions. The report states that it will not prevent users from forwarding messages and it is not clear whether the company will include screenshot detection in this feature. Additionally, the report states that this facility will prevent participants from interacting with Meta AI in the same conversation.
Other safety features
According to a separate report, the company is also allegedly working on introducing a new calling interface for its mobile app. This new calling interface has the ability to shut down the video before joining the facilities provided by users. The screenshot of the feature in the development shared by WABETAINFO suggests that the video shut down button will appear just below the proper picture of the person calling in the call screen. Users will be able to reject the call, be able to accept video calls, be able to close the video and accept the call and send a message to the person who calls. This feature is already available for Whatsapp beta testers on Android.
