Samsung might drop s pen: When Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Ultra (Review) earlier this year, it removed the ability to trigger the camera shutter from a distance using the support for air action and a dedicated slot in the device. Now, a new report states that Samsung can completely remove the S Pen Slot from the future Galaxy S Ultra smartphone.
S will not be a pen from ultra model
According to a tipster report, Samsung is planning to remove the S-Pen slot from the future Galaxy S Ultra model. Removing the S-Pen slot will report to the company allegedly more space which can be used to increase the battery capacity of the device, which does not exceed 5,000mAh for a long time. In a separate post on X, Tipster wrote that the company is still considering this option and it will include a S Pen Stylus in the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and a dedicated slot for it that is to be launched next year. If this report is true, the Samsung Galaxy S27 can remove the dedicated S pen slot with the launch of Ultra which is expected to be launched in 2027. A separate report by WCCTECH states that Samsung removes the S Pen Slot dedicated to its Galaxy S Ultra Series, but it can continue to support for stylus by adding strong magnets to catch it. Alternatively, the company can also adopt the approach adopted with Samsung Galaxy Z fold 6 (review). The device has support for S pen but users will have to buy stylus separately.

Interestingly, the Galaxy S -26 Ultra can still come up with S Pen, but Samsung is reportedly searching various methods to increase its battery size. An option he is considering is to reduce the number of cameras at the back. Samsung is reportedly planned to use variable aperture technology, which can help reduce the number of sensors and create more space for other components.
