Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in the Assembly on Tuesday that fanatical patriotism, honesty and humanity are the pillars of the Aam Aadmi Party’s ideology. The director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ and Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has taunted him on this statement. He does not agree on the point of ‘humanity’. He has expressed doubts about this by tweeting.
Vivek Agnihotri had accused Kejriwal of insulting Kashmiri Pandits during his assembly speech. Let us tell you that the Delhi CM had said that instead of demanding that the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ be made tax free, he can upload it on YouTube.
Vivek Agnihotri tweeted on Kejriwal’s three principles and wrote, ‘Humanity? Really?’
While talking about the film, BJP leaders including Delhi Chief Ministers slammed the Delhi Chief Minister for laughing at Arvind Kejriwal and insulting the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits.
Let us tell you that this controversy arose after Kejriwal’s assembly speech. The Delhi Chief Minister clarified his stand that for him Kashmiri Pandits are important, not the film. Later during an interview he said, “Isn’t it insensitive that BJP has to promote a film even after 8 years in power. BJP has to put up posters of it? We are not on Kashmiri Pandits, Rather laughing at the BJP. The Kashmir Files may be important to the BJP, but Kashmiri Pandits are important to me.”
“Had I been at the Centre, I would not have made a film on him. I would have held his hand and taken him to Kashmir, from where he was removed,” Kejriwal said.
Earlier also Vivek Agnihotri had reacted to Kejriwal’s statement to make The Kashmir Files tax free and said, “Many people even want God to come to earth.” Reacting to Kejriwal, Vivek Agnihotri said, “Stupid, lunatic and idiot, these three categories of people should be avoided. They should not respond.”
Actor Anupam Kher also expressed displeasure over Kejriwal’s statement and said, “After Kejriwal’s statement, I think every true Indian should go and watch this film in theatres.”
