Assembly elections are over in five states including Uttar Pradesh. The central government is now planning to resume publication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photograph on the COVID-19 vaccination certificates in these states. Modi’s picture was removed from vaccination certificates in five states of Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Manipur on January 8 after election dates were announced and the model code of conduct came into force.
An official source said that Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has expressed his desire to resume the printing of Prime Minister’s picture on the COVID vaccination certificates in these states on a top priority basis. The source said that necessary changes will be made on the Kovin portal to include the picture of the Prime Minister in the COVID-19 certificates being given to the people in these five states.
More than 182.51 crore doses of vaccine were taken
Talking about the ongoing corona vaccination in the country, so far more than 182.51 crore doses of the vaccine have been administered. The Union Health Ministry said that so far more than 88 lakh doses have been given to children in the age group of 12-14 years. More than 2.22 crore preventive doses have been given to health workers, frontline workers and people above 60 years of age.
The graph of deaths from corona increased in 24 hours
In the last 24 hours, 4,100 patients have succumbed to it due to the slowing down of the rate of corona infection cases in the country. With this, now the total death toll has reached five lakh 20 thousand 855. This number was less than 100 for the last few days. During this, 1,660 new cases of corona infection have been registered. With this, the total number of cases has reached four crore 30 lakh 18 thousand 032.
