A Gujarat Congress MLA on Tuesday said that in case of atrocities against women, all women should unite and set the guilty on fire in front of everyone without waiting for the police, while another woman MLA suggested that there is a bad intention. The eyes of criminals and rapists who look towards women should be taken out.
Addressing a program organized by Congress Seva Dal on International Women’s Day, MLA Ganiben Thakor said that women should not wait for the help of police or government in case of atrocities. He said, ‘When atrocities or injustice have happened, without waiting for the help of the police or the government, 50 women around should unite and set the criminal on fire in front of everyone by pouring kerosene oil.’
She represents the Vav assembly seat in Banaskantha district. Another Congress MLA Chandrikaben Baria, who was addressing the same event, said that the eyes of the rapists should be taken out. He said, ‘I want to say with sadness that the goons have to be dealt with in the BJP government. Eyes looking at women with bad intentions should be removed. The Congress has been alleging that crimes against women have increased under the BJP-led Gujarat government. The opposition party claims that rape cases have also increased in Gujarat.
