David Warner heated exchange with umpire: The last match of the three-Test series between Pakistan and Australia is being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. On the fourth day of the match, the visiting team’s star opener David Warner clashed with the umpire and during this his words were captured in the stump mic. Actually, the umpire had warned Warner to come in the danger area and this player then asked the umpires to show the rule book.
This incident happened during the 21st over of Australia’s second innings. On-field umpires Aleem Dar and Ahsan Raza had warned Warner to run into the danger area. Warner then argued that he deserved to bat outside his crease and even held talks with opposition captain Babar Azam.
Warner was heard saying on the stump mic “You want me to play my shot like this…” during which he pointed towards the wicket. Umpire Raza replied “Yes, you have to move.”
Warner then said, “Show me in the rule book what I have to do. I won’t start the game until you show me.” However, after stopping for some time, the game started back.
