The producer of The Kashmir Files film, Vivek Agnihotri, shared a video on Twitter praising the cause of Kashmir Muslim. In which he is emphasizing on the need for a collective apology over the killings of Pandits from the Valley and the subsequent exodus. Sharing a video clip of a local news channel from Kashmir, the producer of ‘The Kashmir Files’ said that “accepting the genocide” and apologizing for the incident is the “first step” towards the right to justice.
“If anyone knows this young man, please send him my love and thanks,” Agnihotri wrote on Twitter. That youth is People’s Democratic Front (Secular) general secretary Javed Beigh, who is telling ANN News that he was an eyewitness to the Sangrampora massacre and the educated youth of today have to accept the mistakes of the past generations.
Javed further says, “Dozens of Kashmiri Pandits were killed… I have seen it with my own eyes. Those who were killed were neither stopping anyone’s ‘freedom’ nor killing any Kashmiri Muslim. They were unarmed. People were there. If this is not genocide, then what is it? Crimes were committed there and for that, we should join hands and publicly apologize to Kashmiri Pandits. You don’t need a film for that.”
