Rajya Sabha elections are to be held on March 31 for five out of seven seats in Punjab. Monday (March 21) is the last day for filing nominations. All five seats are set to go to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP has won 92 out of 117 assembly seats in the recent state elections. Educationist Sandeep Pathak, AAP’s Delhi MLA and national spokesperson Raghav Chadha and former spinner Harbhajan Singh are the frontrunners in getting nominations from AAP.
Pathak is an Assistant Professor at IIT-Delhi. He has been strategizing for AAP over the years and has laid the groundwork for AAP’s recent stupendous victory. Pathak, a PhD from Cambridge University, is known as the backroom boy in the team of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal on Sunday thanked Pathak for the victory of Punjab. He appreciated Pathak for his contribution as a political strategist and campaign designer.
Kejriwal always praised Raghav Chadha
Kejriwal keeps praising AAP’s Delhi MLA from Rajinder Nagar and the party’s co-in-charge in Punjab, Raghav Chadha. Chadha has worked hard for his party during the Punjab elections. Raghav Chadha can be sent to Rajya Sabha on behalf of AAP. Harbhajan Singh’s name is also in the news as AAP’s possible Rajya Sabha candidate from Punjab.
