Jaipur. Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary of Animal Husbandry, Cow Husbandry, Dairy and Fisheries has directed all the departmental officers to perform better. Dr. Sharma was addressing the review meeting of the departments held in the Secretariat on Thursday. District level officers from across the state were connected to the meeting through video conferencing.
While addressing the officials of the Animal Husbandry Department, the Secretary to the Government said that our maximum focus should be on running the services smoothly by improving and organizing the institutions. Availability of medicines should be ensured in the institutions. There should be proper arrangement of vaccination for diseases like Foot and Mouth Disease, Brucella and Lumpi. Instructing to open and close all the veterinary institutions on time, he said that every personnel of the institution should be present wearing his/her identity card during office hours. In special circumstances, leave the office only with the permission of the office head. On the basis of physical verification of the offices, he laid special emphasis on timely disposal of the unusable items and junk available and cleanliness.
While giving instructions to the departments, he said that every possible effort should be made to achieve the proposed targets on time. While giving instructions not to keep any kind of pendency in the department, he said that all the branches of the department should complete their works regularly within the fixed time period. Dr Sharma also gave instructions to resolve administrative cases like Sampark Portal, Vidhan Sabha questions, cases registered in RTI, pending audit para annual work evaluation on time and reduce the pendency in these cases to zero.
The Secretary to the Government stressed on the use of software to speed up the departmental work and ensure its quality. He gave instructions to use MIS software for the progress of physical work of veterinary institutions. He also gave instructions to enter the vaccination and artificial insemination work on the Bharat Pashudhan App. Dr. Sharma, while stressing on making the departments completely online, said that no file should be offline.
He directed to examine the online applications invited for grants to be given to cow shelters and send them on time. While giving instructions to improve the operational system of cow shelters, the Government Secretary said that wrong people should not be allowed to operate cow shelters. We have to make cow shelters ideal so that our objective of establishing cow shelters can be accomplished. The Government Secretary directed the Animal Husbandry Department to prepare a project on the industrial use of products made from cow dung and cow urine and the Animal Husbandry Department to prepare some innovative plans to give animal husbandry the status of an industry.
In the meeting, while stressing on quality control of milk and milk products in the dairy, he said that adulteration has to be strictly stopped at any cost. Strict action should be taken against adulterators. He also instructed to immediately curb the ongoing corruption in the dairy. He said that Saras should be taken to such heights where Saras and quality complement each other. The Administrative Secretary instructed to pay attention to advertising along with the quality of dairy products.
