In Aburod, the ACB team took action and arrested the supervisor of the Krishi Mandi Committee red handed taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused had sought a bribe from a ghee merchant in exchange for paying an agreement fee of Rs 1.20 lakh.
The team of Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) at Abu Road in the district took a major action on Wednesday and arrested a supervisor of Krishi Mandi Committee red handed taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused demanded a bribe in exchange for the fine. After the necessary action by the ACB team, the accused was taken to Sirohi.
According to the information, Om Prakash, supervisor of the Agricultural Market Committee, had demanded Rs 20,000 for a compromise of Rs 1.20 lakh from a businessman. In this regard, the victim businessman lodged a complaint with the ACB. After verification, a team led by ASP Rameshwar Lal of ACB Sirohi raided the Krishi Mandi Committee office. As soon as the businessman handed over the bribe amount to the accused, the team caught him red handed.
District e-Governance Society meeting
Here, a meeting of District E-Governance Society and District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) was organized by the district administration on Tuesday. Various e-governance projects operated in the district were reviewed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of District Collector Alpa Chaudhary.
The meeting reviewed the progress of schemes like e-Mitra, Aadhaar Project, Rajnet, FTTH, Abhay Command Project and Ladli Suraksha Yojana. Strict instructions were given to prevent irregularities on the e-Mitra kiosk and it was said that strict action would be taken against the violation of the rules.
Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar suggested that according to the population ratio, e-Mitra centers should be opened in rural areas and e-Mitra centers should also be established in government departments.
Aadhaar services were also discussed in the meeting. The District Collector had given instructions to make Aadhaar updates mandatory for children from 5 to 15 years of age so that their Aadhaar cards are not suspended. Instructions were given to conduct awareness campaigns and banners in schools.
Instructions were given to register maximum Aadhaar to the Women and Child Development Department and Education Department. Instructions were also given to conduct a special basis registration campaign for the transgender community.
Several senior officials were present in this meeting including Treasurer Alka Singh, Superintending Engineer Hamendra Jindal of DISCOM, Ashok Kumar Meena, Assistant Engineer of Water Supply Department, District Information Officer Mahendra Singh Kachhwah, Chief Planning Officer Rajesh Verma and Lead Bank Manager Udharam Meena.
The administration has taken several important steps to make digital rule more effective. Now monitoring will be increased through CCTV cameras and Abhay Command Center. Also, instructions have been given to ensure transparency of e-Mitra centers to easily reach government services to the common man through digital medium.
Through these steps taken by the district administration, concerted efforts are being made to prevent corruption and make digital services more accessible and effective.
