Chandigarh, November 22 (IANS). In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party has now handed over the responsibility of state president to Aman Arora. Shari Kalsi will work with Aman Arora as Vice President.
After assuming the responsibility as the new state president of the party, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann congratulated both of them by sharing a post on social media platform X. Bhagwant Mann wrote in his post, “Today I have handed over the responsibility of party president to my two close colleagues, cabinet minister Aman Arora and MLA Amansher Singh Shari Kalsi.”
He further wrote, “The party has decided that Aman Arora will work as the party president and Shari Kalsi will work as the vice president. I have full confidence in both my colleagues that they will further strengthen the party and the organization in Punjab in the coming times and will lead a new era.” Will take you to greater heights.”
This change made by Aam Aadmi Party is being considered an important step for the future. Aman Arora is already a cabinet minister in the Punjab government.
The Parliamentary Affairs Committee meeting was held in Delhi on Friday. In this, it was decided to make New and Renewable Energy Minister and prominent Hindu face of the party, Arora, the party president.
Recently, CM Bhagwant Mann had expressed his desire to resign from the post of party president citing his busyness in his duties as Chief Minister.
Earlier the party had appointed Budh Ram as “working president” to work closely with Mann, but that experiment did not succeed.
Being a prominent Hindu face, making Arora the state president of the party is being seen as a step by the party to woo Hindu voters.
During the campaign for the by-elections to four assembly seats, Mann had announced his resignation from the post of state president and said that the party needed a full-time leader who could completely focus on party affairs.
