Bihar News Desk has received approval. The appearance of agricultural farms (seed multiplication fields) of the district will change. Better facilities will be restored. In the first phase, one irrigation well each will be constructed for irrigation of crops in all agricultural farms. About Rs 20 lakh will be spent on the scheme. Whereas, the agricultural field at Bijwan will be cordoned off by building a new boundary wall. However, the plan for rejuvenation of agricultural farms of Giriyak and Ekangarsarai is still awaited.
The responsibility of building boundary wall in Bijwanpar has been given to the Bridge Construction Corporation. Whereas, the construction of irrigation wells in all forms will be done by the Soil Conservation Department. Assistant Director of Land Conservation, Ajit Prakash says that the construction of a well will cost around Rs 5 lakh. The depth will be 30 feet and the diameter will be 15 feet. The work of inspecting the forms and marking the site is in the final stage. Work will start soon. Water will be recharged once the irrigation well is built.
Seeds are prepared: There are agricultural farms in Bijwanpar, Sarmera, Giriyak and Ekangarsarai in the district. The total area is about 23 hectares. Farming is done in about 17.6 hectares.
DM took stock of Mohanpur fish hatchery
DM Shashank Subhankar inspected Mohanpur fish hatchery located near Nalanda turn. He saw the breeding tank, hatching bridge, nursery built in the hatchery and inquired about the preparation and distribution of fish seeds from the director Shivanandan Prasad. He also distributed fish seeds to some fish farmers. Appreciated the arrangements made for the maintenance of the hatchery. DDC Shrikant Khandelkar, Fisheries Officer Shambhu Kumar and others were present on the spot.
Wheat seeds stolen from Noorsarai e-Kisan Bhawan
Thieves stole wheat seeds from the e-kisan building of the block. When the door of the room was opened for distribution among the farmers, people were stunned to see the condition there. Bihar State Seed Corporation had given about 1500 bags of seeds for distribution. It was kept in two rooms. The thieves stole 25 bags of seeds by cutting the window grills of both the rooms.
